Well, it’s 4:30am…

and it’s raining in Sioux Falls again.

Not only has it been raining here, but most of these storms have been accompanied by unusually high amounts of lightning and thunder–they are bright and loud!  We’ve experienced major flooding in this region as a result of all the rain.

As I laid in bed, recent news lines started running through my mind:
Small tsunami generated after Vanuatu earthquake

UN: Pakistan flood misery exceeds tsunami, Haiti

Man trapped for 50 hours after landslides in China

These were headlines from just yesterday–everyday seems to be producing yet another major crisis somewhere on the earth.  I haven’t lived on the earth for too long (29 years), but things are shifting–can you feel that?  Do you see what is happening?  Can you hear?

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.  So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near–at the doors!”  Matthew 24:32-33
